The village of Santa Teresa, located at the extreme southern point of Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula, since the 1960’s, has been a secret spot for surfers, yogis and generally those looking to “get away from it all" in paradise. Fast forward to today, and the secret is out, with many celebrities choosing to vacation or buy second homes here; Tom Brady and Gisel Bundchen, Jack Dorsey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mel Gibson, Salma Hayek or Lady Gaga are just a few of the individuals you might run into when strolling the idyllic beaches or eating at one of the many hip restaurants that have sprung up along this palm fringed and jungle clad coastline. Not a place to dress up, show off or dance on tabes until 3am - Santa Teresa is about barefoot luxury; a slow pace of life, sunrise runs/yoga/surf and farm to table cuisine

WHEN TO VISIT
Costa Rica has two well defined seasons; the dry season from December to April and the 'Green Season' from May to November. However, the rain, especially on the Pacific coast, typically occurs during the afternoon or evening. Warm temperatures are characteristic throughout the year making Santa Teresa and Costa Rica a good option for travel year-round. Although, Santa Teresa being more northerly near Guanacaste, they don’t get as much rain as other Pacific beach regions further south during the green season.
Santa Teresa has some of the most consistent year round surf in Costa Rica. The best conditions and larger surf occurs during the May-August time period or green season, but the rest of the year you can still expect great surf as the position of Santa Teresa soaks up any NW or SW swell stirred up in the Pacific.
FOR FAMILIES
Pasha is an excellent destination for families because it is closer to Playa Hermosa than Santa Teresa, a much more uncrowded and excluded beach. At low tide, there are incredible tide pools to explore located directly in front of the villa, with the beach just a few minutes walk north perfect for boogie boarding, surf lessons or generally frolicking in the shallow sandy warm waters. Aside from beach and pool time, you are provided a private English-speaking Naturalist Guide who will be ready to show you and your family the best of Nicoya Peninsula, teeming with wildlife and waterfalls.
Staying at Pasha allows members of the family to choose different activities, or go all together. For example, maybe the mother and daughters would like to go visit the Montezuma Waterfalls for the day, and the father and sons would like to go visit Cabo Blanco National Park (Costa Rica & Central America’s First National Park), we can make that happen no problem. The beauty of it is that you are all able to gather at your private home in the evening to enjoy quality time together, and that is priceless.
RECOMMENDED LENGTH OF STAY
3 nights is our minimum during Green Season and High Season. Our minimum during the Holiday Season is 7 nights.
UNIQUE SELLING POINTS
Pasha is the most luxurious, spacious, and private villa that you will find in Santa Teresa. Footsteps from tide pools on the beach, and a 5-minute walk to the best surfing spot in Playa Hermosa.
Each room can be situated with one king bed or 2 twin beds, making it very suitable for families.
There are 10 total rooms among the main house and 3 casitas, each casita containing its own plunge pool.
Each group is provided one free group surf lesson in playa Hermosa, a 5-minute walk from the villa.
The availability to have a private guide assigned to you with your own vehicles provides access to places near Santa Teresa that tourist don’t usually see. Cabo Blanco National Park is about an hour drive away and is the first National Park in Central America & Costa Rica. It is one of the least visited National Park’s in Costa Rica, so there is an abundance of wildlife from monkeys, birds, perhaps whales in the distance, and many other native animals. Montezuma is nearby which is a fun beach to explore, and they have a turtle hatching sanctuary in town, on the beach. Please inquire for a list of activities for your clients to choose from.
Unlike many villas that provide the keys to the house and let you out on your own, the staff at Pasha are employed full-time, year-round and are locals to Costa Rica. This fosters a unique sense of community and ensure seamless, friendly and experienced service regardless. This includes 24/7 security with a guard watching the premises at all times.
BEST COMBINED WITH
Most visitors to Santa Teresa are coming for an extended, one stop beach vacation. However, Pasha can be combined with any of the other properties we represent in Costa Rica if travelers are looking to also explore the cloud-forest, whitewater raft, or go on deep jungle explorations seeking elusive wildlife.
